Who we are

SnapForge ("we", "us") provides a screenshot and HTML-to-PDF rendering API at snapforge.org. We are the data controller for the personal data described below and operate from Belgium, in the European Union. You can reach us at contact@snapforge.org.

What we collect

Email address — provided when you create an API key or subscribe to a paid plan. Used to identify your account, link payments to your key, and contact you about your service.
Usage data — a counter of renders per month per API key, plus technical metadata about each render (duration, output size). Used to enforce quotas and operate the service.
IP address — held briefly in memory to rate-limit signups. Not written to a database or shared.

What we do not collect

We do not store the screenshots or PDFs we render. Output is streamed back to you and discarded.
We do not store the URLs or HTML you submit beyond the lifetime of the request.
We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising pixels on this site.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe shares with us only your email address and the plan you purchased. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Legal basis

We process your data to perform the contract between us (providing the API you signed up for) and for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and abuse-free (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention

Account data (email, API key, usage counters) is kept while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove it within 30 days, except for billing records we must keep for tax purposes.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with Stripe (payments) and our hosting provider (Hostinger, EU infrastructure), each acting as a processor.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal data, and you can object to processing. Email contact@snapforge.org and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced to paying customers by email.
